Что такое парафин?
Paraffin wax is extracted from certain distillates of petroleum, shale oil, or other bituminous mineral oils. It is a mixture of hydrocarbons, odorless and tasteless, and is a white or light yellow translucent solid. There is also artificial paraffin.
Paraffin wax is a kind of petroleum processing product, a kind of mineral wax, and a kind of petroleum wax. Used to make higher fatty acids, higher alcohols, matches, candles, waterproofing agents, ointments, electrical insulating materials, etc.
Characteristic of the paraffin wax
Paraffin wax is a mixture of hydrocarbons, so it does not have a strict melting point like pure compounds, melting at 47°C-64°C. All kinds of wax products require paraffin wax to have good temperature resistance, that is, it does not melt or soften and deform at a specific temperature. According to the use conditions, the regions and seasons of use, and the differences in the use environment, commercial paraffin waxes are required to have a series of different melting points.
Uses of paraffin wax
Crude paraffin has a high oil content and is mainly used in the manufacture of matches, fiberboards, tarpaulins, etc. Fully refined paraffin and semi-refined paraffin have a wide range of uses, mainly used as food, oral medicines, wax paper, crayons, candles, carbon paper components and packaging materials, and also used for fruit preservation, electrical components insulation, to improve rubber anti-aging and increase Flexibility and so on.
