What is thermoformed material?

  • Polyethylene terephthalate (PET): commonly used in food packaging containers, such as beverage bottles, food trays, etc. PET is a highly recyclable plastic, and recycled PET can be used to make new bottles, fiber materials, etc.
  • Polypropylene (PP): used for medical device trays, food containers, automotive parts, etc. PP has good recyclability, and recycled PP can be used to make industrial products, construction materials, etc.
  • Polystyrene (PS): commonly used in disposable tableware, and food packaging, like clamshell containers, PS recycling is relatively difficult, but through a specific process can still be recycled, usually used in the manufacture of insulation materials, plastic bricks, and so on.
  • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC): used in building materials, automobile interior parts, PVC recycling is more complicated, and usually needs special treatment process, but still can be recycled.
